Not only is stress hard on your mental health, it actual affects you physically. Under normal conditions the human body releases what is called cortisol to make your muscles function. When the body encounters high levels of stress (such as wedding planning) your brain assumes there is an emergency and floods your body with cortisol. Yoga through breathing, stretching and meditation relieves some of this cortisol resulting in less stress.

Pose 1: Childs Pose (Calms brain, relaxes hip tension, stretches ankles)

Pose 2: Downward Facing Dog (Slight inversion pose, opposite flow of energy is great for stress and anxiety)

Pose 3: Pigeon Pose (opens and relieves stress and tension stores in hips)
