How to Rock a $1000 Dress with 75 Bucks…

15 Apr How to Rock a $1000 Dress with 75 Bucks…

Okay so raise your virtual hand if you’re a fashionista on a major budget like me (I see those hands). You have haute couture taste….but the way your bank account is set up….

What if you could rock that $1000 Nicole Miller Gown…for $75! Oh. Em. Gee. You can! The increasingly popular website is fulfilling every Budgenista and BRIDENISTA’S dreams of wearing a designer gown on a budget. Rent the Runway has thousands of designer dresses on their website. This is such a great alternative to having your bridesmaids spend $200+ on a dress they barely like and will only wear once.

Check out some of my picks from their site:

1. Badgley Mischka- Award Winner Gown ($600 Retail Value)- You pay $75!!

How perfect is this gown for the “Glitz and Glam” inspired wedding. Sequins are on the scene and they are here to stay for a little while. I love it!

2.  Badgley Mischka- Corundum Sapphire Gown ($790 Retail Value)- You pay $80!!

In love with the color and how effortlessly fabulous it is. Can you picture your bridesmaids looking magazine-ready in this beauty? It also appears to be super comfy–that’s great for sitting at dinner (not too tight) and dancing the night away (the right amount of swirl)!

3. Christian Siriano- Subtlety Gown ($1995 Retail Value)- You pay $200!!

And if your bridesmaids are going to spend $200 on a dress it, it should be something totally  worth it like this:

I mean come on, how sexy would YOU feel in this curve hugging number? And the color….doesn’t it make you happy  about warm weather!?!

CS44-2I must say I like that when you sign up for their mailing list, you get $25 off your order of $75 or more. Plus you can get a back up size just in case the dress you order doesn’t quite fit the way you want it to.

Have you tried Rent The Runway? What were some pros and cons that you found after using them? We want to know!!
