Navy is the NEW Black

15 Apr Navy is the NEW Black

Did you know the tuxedo as we [Americans] know it originated in the U.S. around 1888? It was named after Tuxedo Park, a Hudson Valley enclave for New York’s social elite! And even though the “dinner jacket” dates back to nineteenth century England, one thing still remains–there’s nothing sexier than a man in a fitted suit!  When you think of a classic tux, I bet you imagine all black, don’t you?

Black is definitely timeless and sexy, but for the past year or so, I’ve been digging the navy tuxedo! So slide over black…navy is taking the driver’s seat! Check out Ryan Gosling rocking his custom made Salvatore Ferragamo tuxedo.

How do you feel about the navy blue tuxedo trend? Do you think it’s here to stay? Yay! or Nay?
