04 Sep Laura & George’s Love Story
I recently met fellow Rising Tide Society member Marcy Harris at one of our monthly meet ups in Columbus. Marcy is a family and birth photographer based in Canal Winchester, Ohio, specializing in day in the life storytelling. Check out engagement photos and the love story from one of Marcy’s lovely couples, Laura and George:
Where do you reside now and where will you reside after the wedding?
We reside in New Albany and will stay here after the wedding as well.
How and when did you all meet?
We met on match.com
. Our wedding date (October 24th, 2015
) will mark exactly two years since we met.
George, when and how did you propose?
After asking Laura’s dad for her hand in marriage he connected me with a jeweler. I bought a loose stone and proposed February of this year by slipping the stone in her hand while I was holding it. She felt the stone and I then asked her to marry me. We chose a setting together and hope to someday pass the stone along to our children.
When and where is the big day?
We are getting married October 24th, 2015 at Bryn Du Mansion in Granville, OH.
What’s your favorite past time?
We love dancing together! We always enjoy baseball even though our favorite teams are huge rivals.
What is your least favorite part of planning?
All of the little details that are easy to forget. It can be very time consuming.
What is your favorite part of planning?
Seeing your vision come together. Also, bonding with your family and friends as they help you through the process.
What advice do you have for couple’s that are planning their wedding?
Don’t worry or stress too much. At the end of the day the most important thing is that you are marrying your best friend and starting a beautiful future together. In 10 years nobody will remember or care how good your food was or how beautiful your flower arrangements were… But they will remember the fun they have and getting to celebrate your love with you!
