Forest Vintage Chic Wedding

18 Sep Forest Vintage Chic Wedding

Today we are so excited to be sharing a wedding feature from the lovely Ashley Lousie Photography. This simple yet beautiful wedding is the perfect inspiration for any bridenista who’s style can be classified as vintage chic. We love the bright greens, blues, and purples that elegantly bring this look together, and we’d like to personally wish Carolyn and Josh many years in marriage. Congratulations on finding true love!  RobertsWedding-1214RobertsWedding-6

How and when did you all meet? When did you propose? We met through our campus ministry/church in the fall of 2010. He proposed June 28, 2014.

How did you propose? We hiked to the top of one of our favorite spots (the fire tower at Moses Cone). Josh had our friends set up the tower with a bunch of flowers. We climbed to the top to look out on the 360 degree view of Boone. He popped the question at the top and then had a friend take us back down the trail in a horse drawn carriage.

When and where was the big day? May 30th 2015 in Cashiers, NC at a family friends estate.

What’s your favorite past time? Pretty much any outdoor activity. We are both from the mountains so we love to go adventuring.

What was your least favorite part of planning? Your favorite part? The 11-month wait to get married was the hardest, but being able to create a day that blended both of our styles and personalities was our favorite.

What advice do you have for couple’s who are planning their wedding? Take the time to enjoy the process. Waiting 11 months was hard for us, but it was so worth it in the end. Since we had so much time, we were hardly stressed during the typical “crazy” moments.
